A Look at Frank Miller’s ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’

“Sin City’s where you go in with your eyes open or you don’t come out at all.” August 22nd will mark the release of comic genius Frank Miller’s Sin City sequel. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, the title reads, and if you loved the original film like me, then you must be beyond stoked for this one. It feels as though Frank Miller and director Robert Rodriguez were never going to grace us with a film so vile and mysterious again, but our wishes were granted. I’m no comic book guru, but I sure as heck appreciate a nicely-crafted neo-noir film when I see one. The trailer for Rodriguez’s new Sin City film was released just a while back, and expect to see the returns of Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson, Bruce Willis, and welcoming Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as well as other actors.

A town’s violent corruption and after hours crime will once again thrive in theaters. I am very excited to see this one, and I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be a great installment to the Sin City graphic novel world. The trailer itself sets us up for this twisted ride into the world of Frank Miller’s obscure storytelling. You can clearly see the sick visuals and it’s so true to the prior film, but also newly encompassing. So mark your calendars, comic book fiends.
