The Danish Girl- First Official Trailer Unveiled

Eddie Redmayne is striving for Oscar nods as we take a look at the first worldwide trailer for The Danish Girl. It’s so good, I just had to write about it here. Tom Hooper, the award-winning director of Les Miserables and The King’s Speech, brings us this dearing and emotional film that tells the true story of a transgender artist coming out of secrecy and coming to terms with who they are. What a remarkable first look and what a remarkable young actor Redmayne is becoming. Truly a film to look out for.

This will be Redmayne’s first role post-Oscar and it’s promising of a big audience. The Danish Girl is set to bow this awards season. The release of the biodrama has been a long time coming. Amber Heard and Alicia Vikander will be starring in the film as well. I know I cannot wait to see this. He’s goin’ for another Oscar! You go, dude (dudette in this case? lol). Here’s the synopsis:

The remarkable love story inspired by the lives of Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener (portrayed by Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne [“The Theory of Everything”] and Alicia Vikander [“Ex Machina”]), directed by Academy Award winner Tom Hooper (“The King’s Speech,” “Les Misérables”). Lili and Gerda’s marriage and work evolve as they navigate Lili’s groundbreaking journey as a transgender pioneer.
